I know, that's a total no-brainer and everything, because hell, we're all afraid of the unknown and the future is a huge black hole full of hints and nothing more. Hey, my name's John. I'm 20 years old and have been a vampire for almost a year now. We lived in San Francisco back in the year 2010, but I don't know what the hell is happening now. You see, I'm stuck in the year 2019 and don't know how to go back.

The future's not as bright as I'd hoped it would be. The world's gone to hell and people are hunting vampires to extinction. I'm in hiding with my sister Lydia and my father's former alter ego, Flynn. They're not the only two of us left alive - my former lover Delilah's holed up somewhere safe with her bonded lover, Robin. But she's gone to the dark side and has Robin trapped against his will.

I wish my maker, Victor, was here... and my father, Peter. I'm hoping there's some way the future can be changed. Because maybe, just maybe, if it can... I can get back home again.

Trapped in the Future

Of all the people I could be thinking about right now, I find it strange that it's not Delilah. Well, the fact that I notice I'm not thinking about her means, by default, that I am, but it's a much different thought than the one running circles in my mind. Maybe it's because she's still alive out there somewhere. She might not be the woman I fell in love with anymore, but she's managed to make it this far, and as long as we're alive, there's still hope... right? It hasn't sunk in that she's become ensnared in dark magic and I refuse to believe she's beyond redemption. Nobody talks to me about it and I refuse to ask because I lack the context
